N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton (Full Album) full album zip The group released their debut album, "Straight Outta Compton", on August 16, 1988 through Eazy-E's Ruthless Records and its subsidiary label, Priority Records. The album is also the only full-length release to feature Ice Cube, who had responded to Eazy-E's request for a vocalist for N.W.A.'s debut single "Boyz-N-the Hood" three months earlier with his own response single "Keep Their Heads Ringin'". While this first version of the album had no Parental Advisory sticker on the cover, it does have a small warning on it. However, all remaining pressings lacked any printed lyrics to avoid possible controversy. The album peaked at number 42 on the "Billboard" 200 chart, and it has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The cover of "Straight Outta Compton" features what is assumed to be Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella sporting ski masks with their respective names above their heads (a mask only covers Eazy-E's eyes).
